Common questions
Which areas do you cover?
Shrewsbury and the whole of Shropshire, plus parts of Staffordshire, the Midlands and Cheshire. As a rule of thumb, roughly a 40 mile radius of SY3 9NT. If you're not sure whether you're in range, ask and I'll tell you straight.
Do you take emergency call-outs?
Yes. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, but emergency call-outs are available at any time. If you have lost power, smell burning or have a fault you think is unsafe, call rather than email.
Do you work for homeowners as well as businesses?
Both. I work for homeowners, landlords and property managers on domestic jobs, and for shops, offices, workshops and other commercial premises.
Are you registered?
Yes. SW Electrical is registered with NAPIT for electrical work, and I'm OZEV registered for EV charge point installation.
How do I get a quote?
Call or WhatsApp with a quick description of the job, or send the enquiry form with your postcode and a few details. For anything larger, I'll usually want to see the site before pricing it.
When will air conditioning be available?
Air conditioning is planned, not live. The relevant registrations need to be in place before SW Electrical takes on that work, so nothing is being booked yet. You're welcome to register your interest and I'll let you know when it opens.
Air conditioning is on the way
SW Electrical plans to add air conditioning installation and servicing. That work will not start until the required registrations are confirmed, so nothing is being booked in yet. If you want to be first in the queue, register your interest now.
