Electrical installations do not stay safe forever. Periodic inspection and testing checks the condition of the wiring, the consumer unit, the earthing and the protective devices, and gives you a written report on anything that needs attention.
This is commonly needed by landlords, by people selling or buying a property, by insurers, and by businesses who need to show their installation is maintained. I carry out the inspection, explain the findings in plain terms, and can do any remedial work that comes out of it.

Fault finding and repairs
Tripping circuits, dead sockets, lights that flicker, a consumer unit that keeps going off. Faults are rarely where people assume they are, and 26 years of doing this is mostly what makes the difference between an afternoon and a week.
I'll trace the fault, tell you what caused it, and give you the options before doing the work. If it's unsafe, I'll say so plainly rather than patching it.
Maintenance and upgrades
Older installations can usually be brought up to standard in stages rather than all at once. Consumer unit replacements, additional circuits, better protection, improved lighting, more sockets in the right places. If a full rewire is not needed, you will be told that.
